We asked, "Most Dentist recommend what kind of toothbrush bristle? Hard, medium, or soft?"

The answer is soft! Since the main purpose of brushing is to remove the soft plaque deposits, a soft toothbrush is all you need. A medium or hard bristle toothbrush will NOT be more effective at removing plaque. In fact, scrubbing away with a hard or medium bristle will only strip away enamel, root surface, and gum tissue, causing toothbrush abrasion and sensitivity, and gum recession. In contrast, an extra soft toothbrush will be gentle on the teeth and gums and remove plaque effectively with the proper brushing technique.

We asked, "Which of the following foods is more likely to contribute to tooth decay? Cheese, Chocolate milk, raisins, or bubble gum (with sugar)"

The answer is raisins! They are very sticky and full of sugar making them double trouble. Cheese actually contributes the least to dental decay because it contains so little sugar. Congratulations to our winner, John White, who received free professional take home whitening!

Also, "How many adult teeth does the average human develop?"

The answer is 32. Counting wisdom teeth, most people develop 32 secondary teeth, and 20 primary or "baby" teeth. The most common teeth to never develop are wisdom teeth and lateral incisors.
